This paper reports a small section of larger study that uses mixed-methods approach to examine participation experiences novice teachers English in Chile beginning their careers nonharmonic public, semiprivate, and private school communities. Drawing on Wenger’s framework communities practice, this reveals come across regardless the types schools where they work-that is, normally classified by socioeconomic background. As such, new experience varying degrees challenges hinder such Rather than being detriment, these practice positively impact strive, including joining diverse forms communities, during first years teaching.
